Terms of Service
The fair, plain-English rules for working with LaunchDraft.
Last updated: September 3, 2026
These terms cover using launchdraft.net and the website design, hosting, and care we provide. By using our site or signing up for a plan, you agree to them. We have kept them short and readable on purpose.
LaunchDraft is operated by Teresa Harvey (South Carolina, USA), who is the responsible party for contracts, billing, and payments. By signing up, you confirm you are at least 18 and able to enter this agreement on behalf of your business.

1.What we provide
LaunchDraft designs, builds, hosts, and maintains websites for small businesses. The details of your build (pages, features, and price) are set out in the plan you choose and the agreement you sign before we start the full build.
2.The free draft
We may build you a free homepage draft so you can see what your site could look like before you pay anything. The draft is offered at no cost and with no obligation, and until you sign up for a plan the draft and its code remain LaunchDraft's property.
3.Plans, billing & auto-renewal
Our plans have two parts: a one-time setup fee and a monthly fee that covers hosting, security, upkeep, and your monthly edits.
- 3.AThe setup fee is paid before we begin the full build (by PayPal or Zelle).
- 3.BThe monthly fee begins when your site goes live.
- 3.CYour monthly plan renews automatically each month and is billed through PayPal until you cancel. When you sign up, you agree to this recurring charge; the exact amount and billing date are shown at checkout and in your signed agreement.
- 3.DYou'll get a receipt or reminder around each renewal. PayPal automatically emails you about every payment, so a charge is never a surprise.
- 3.EPrices for your plan won't change without us telling you in advance.
Auto-renewal, in plain terms: the monthly fee keeps you online and looked after, so it repeats every month on its own until you stop it. You can cancel any time (see below), and cancelling is as easy as signing up.
4.Cancelling
- 4.AYou can cancel your monthly plan at any time, by email, by replying to any billing message, or however you first reached us. No phone calls, no hoops, and never harder than signing up was.
- 4.BHosting and edits continue until the end of your current paid month, then stop, and the live site comes offline. Your website is part of your subscription, so we don't hand over its code by default, but you can buy out a working copy at any time to host it yourself (see 6.B).
- 4.CThe one-time setup fee covers work already done and is not refundable once the build has started. Monthly fees already paid are not refunded for partial months.
- 4.DWant to keep your web address? Just ask and we'll transfer the domain to your own account (see section 5). If you cancel without requesting a transfer, we stop renewing the domain and let it expire.
- 4.EIf a payment fails, we'll reach out and give you a few days to fix it. If it isn't sorted within about 7 days, we may pause your plan and take the site offline, the same as a cancellation.
- 4.FAfter your site goes offline (from cancelling or an unpaid plan), we keep your files for 30 days. In that window you can restart your plan, buy out your site, or have your domain transferred. After 30 days with no word from you, we permanently delete your site files, and a buyout is no longer possible once they're gone.
5.Domains
A custom domain is included with your plan. We register the domain under our own account and manage it for you as part of your monthly fee, so you never get a separate domain bill. While your plan is active it stays in our account so we can handle everything for you.
Your web address is never held hostage. You can ask us to transfer the domain to your own registrar account at any time. You just cover the standard transfer and renewal cost (usually around $15). If you cancel and don't ask for a transfer, we stop renewing the domain and let it expire; after that it sits in a hold period, often about a month or more for a .com, before anyone can register it again, and we can't guarantee the name will still be available. So if your web address matters to you, ask us to transfer it rather than letting it lapse.
6.Who owns what
- 6.AYour content is yours: the text, logo, and photos you provide.
- 6.BYour site is part of your subscription. The setup fee covers designing and building it; your monthly plan keeps it hosted, maintained, and online. If you'd like to own the site's code outright and host it elsewhere, you can buy it out at any time for a one-time fee equal to 12 months of your current plan. On a buyout we hand over a complete, working copy of your finished site (the actual pages, styles, images, and text) that runs on any standard web host.
- 6.COur internal, reusable building blocks (the starter templates, code libraries, and tools we use across projects) always remain ours. A buyout gives you a working copy of your own finished site, not our internal toolkit.
7.Your responsibilities
- 7.AGive us accurate information, and only content you have the right to use (your own photos, text, and logo, or ones you are licensed to use).
- 7.BYou are responsible for the content you give us and for your site's compliance with the laws that apply to your business.
- 7.CUse your website and our services lawfully and honestly.
- 7.DAny testimonials or reviews on your site must be real. We will not create fake reviews, and example content on demo sites is clearly fictional.
8.No guarantees on results
We build every site to be fast, secure, mobile-friendly, and made with SEO best practices, and we work hard to do great work. But we cannot promise specific search rankings, amounts of traffic, or sales, since those depend on many things outside our control.
9.Liability
We provide our services with reasonable care, "as they are." To the extent the law allows, LaunchDraft is not responsible for indirect or unexpected losses (like lost profits) arising from your website or our services, and our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have that cannot be waived under the law.
10.Changes to these terms
If we update these terms, we will change the "Last updated" date above and, for meaningful changes, let current clients know. Continuing to use our services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
